WASHINGTON — Yesterday, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined a roundtable discussion on the weaponization of Biden’s Justice Department against its political opponents. The conversation focused on how the Biden Administration is using taxpayer dollars to attack concerned parents at school board meetings, devout Catholics, and pro-life advocates. This comes in addition to the Democrats’ blatantly coordinated attempts to put President Trump behind bars.
Senator Tuberville joined Eric Schmitt (R-MO), who led the panel, as well as Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Roger Marshall (R-KS). Other panelists who participated included Matt Whitaker, former Acting United States Attorney General; Stephen Miller, former Senior Advisor to President Trump and President of America First Legal; and Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation.

TUBERVILLE: “Since taking office, President Biden has used taxpayer dollars and resources to attack conservative parents on school boards, Catholics, and pro-life advocates. It’s very obvious.
One of Biden’s first actions in office was to redirect federal law enforcement and counterterrorism resources to go after parents who voiced concern at school board meetings about the woke propaganda being taught in our schools. As someone who has spent 40 years in education, I know how important it is that our students get a quality education. Our young people are our greatest asset, our number one commodity. The Democrats have succeeded in getting woke propaganda pushed in taxpayer funded classrooms.
Public schools in many parts of our country have become ground zero for the Democratic Party. Parents started waking up to what they saw during COVID. [They started asking] ‘What are they teaching our kids?’ So, [Attorney General] Merrick Garland directed the FBI to open an investigation into these parents who spoke up. Yes, going after parents. But it doesn’t stop there.
The Biden administration also used the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade to target pro-life Americans. The Biden administration has had pro-life Americans arrested. […]
The last time I checked, our great Constitution protects American’s right to speak freely andpeacefully protest in this country.
[N]o one has been more impacted by Joe Biden’s weaponization of justice than President Trump. […] [The New York v. Trump] trial was a complete joke and a massive waste of taxpayer dollars. It was a clown show. As if it wasn’t obvious enough that this case was political, a former top Biden DOJ official delivered opening arguments for the prosecution. The fact that the Biden campaign staged a press conference outside the court tells you everything you need to know. Let’s be clear, this case would have never made it to court if Donald Trump wasn’t running for President.

BACKGROUND:
Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is taking action to fight back against the Biden administration’s blatant weaponization of the judicial system. Sen. Tuberville joined his colleagues in a pledge vowing to vote against any additional non-security related funding, judicial or political nominees, or legislation that helps Joe Biden and Democrats advance their mission of tearing the country apart. This comes as the White House has continued to show contempt for the rule of law by weaponizing the judicial system against their top political opponent.
Additionally, on June 13, 2024, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) and their conservative colleagues in vowing to not allow fast-tracking of Biden’s judicial and U.S. Attorney nominees until the American people make their voices heard on Election Day.
