Cosponsors legislation to eliminate burdensome tax
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) released the following statement after cosponsoring legislation from Senator John Thune (R-SD) to permanently repeal the federal Estate Tax:
“The Death Tax destroys American jobs and cripples small businesses and family farms. Americans who inherit family-owned farms, ranches, and businesses are often forced to sell their holdings or let go of employees in order to pay the tax. Instead of using the tax code to tear down profitable enterprises that employ Americans, Congress should be focused on creating a tax and regulatory environment that allows businesses of all sizes to grow and thrive.”
Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
