U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) called out the Biden Administration for failing to address the current crisis at the southern border.
“The southern border, the disaster there, is one of the biggest failures in my lifetime here in the United States of America,” Tuberville said Tuesday on Fox Business. “We have been overrun with terrorists, with people from China, people from Russia. Yale University did a study last week 20-22 million people have come here. Folks, we are in trouble. The American people are in trouble. Citizens are in danger.”
The senator condemned Biden and Harris for visiting Texas — but not visiting the southern border.
“Air Force One has lost its GPS along with Air Force Two because neither one of them can find their way to the southern border,” he quipped. “They went to Austin and Houston last week, but where did they go the border? No they didn’t go the border. They could care less. The vote is all they won’t, but they’re putting American people in harm’s way.”
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are visiting Houston this week as they plan to honor Late Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
Tuberville also hit back against claims that Republicans voted against a bipartisan border deal because former President Trump told them to vote no.
“All it was doing was codifying what they were doing at the present time,” he argued. “Five thousand people a day come across the border. Are you kidding me? We live in a dangerous world. We live in a globalist world for the Biden administration, the Harris administration, all they want to do is no borders. They want everybody to go anywhere they want to go.”
He also believes Trump will solve the border crisis if he’s reelected this year.
“They have ruined Europe. All you have to do is go to Paris, London, Berlin, they have ruined Europe with immigration. We’re not gonna allow that to happen here. And that the reason President Trump’s going to get reelected. He closed the border down as much as he could when he was president. He was working for the wall. He will do the same thing when he gets reelected. Folks, you better put him in place because we can’t stand another four years of these crazies that want to be globalist and let everybody come into our country.”
