Tuberville Sponsors Resolution for National Adoption Day, Month

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tuberville joined U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Kevin Cramer (R-ND) in introducing a resolution designating November as National Adoption Month. The resolution also designates Saturday, November 18, as National Adoption Day. Senator Tuberville previously helped introduce the resolution in 2022 and 2021.

“Adoption is an act of generosity and compassion,” said Senator Tuberville. “It gives children a safe, loving, and stable home and gives them a better opportunity to thrive. That benefits the child, and it also benefits our entire society. On National Adoption Day—and every day—we ought to honor the selflessness of adoptive families.”

National Adoption Day is a national effort to raise awareness about adoption and the children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families.

Senator Tuberville serves as the Ranking Member of the Children and Families Subcommittee for the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP).

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
