WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined U.S. Senators Todd Young (R-IN) and Chris Coons (D-DE) to introduce a resolution designating February 19-26, 2022, as “National FFA Week.” Alabama is home to 15,280 Future Farmers of America members spanning 267 chapters throughout the state. The resolution passed the U.S. Senate last night in advance of National FFA Week beginning tomorrow, Saturday February 19th.
“From an early age, Alabamians are taught the vital role farming plays in growing our state and national economy,” said Senator Tuberville. “As a proud former FFA member, I can attest that the FFA organization ensures young men and women are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully support our agricultural industry and become leaders in their communities. I’m proud to recognize the FFA’s work in developing our next generation of agricultural leaders.”
This resolution recognizes the role of the National FFA Organization in developing the next generation of leaders and celebrates 70 years of the FFA’s membership magazine.
